An old wooden cabin rests beneath the sweeping branches of mature trees at the Mill of Kintail, surrounded by the rich golds, oranges and greens of an Eastern Ontario autumn. Fallen leaves blanket the ground while the rustic fence and weathered building give the scene a quiet, timeless character. The warm light and brilliant foliage capture one of those fleeting fall days when the entire landscape seems to glow.
This artwork began with my own photograph taken during a visit to the Mill of Kintail. Back in the studio, I transformed the original image through layers of digital editing and AI-assisted tools, developing its colour, texture and painterly character while preserving the story and composition of the moment I photographed.

How My Artwork Is Created
All of my artwork begins with a photograph I’ve taken myself.
I start with a real place I’ve visited, composing and photographing the scene through my own camera. Back in the studio, I work with that photograph through layers of digital editing and AI-assisted tools, refining colour, texture, light and detail until it becomes the finished painterly artwork you see here.
The technology is part of my creative process, but the photograph, artistic direction and final selection are mine.
The photograph comes first. The artwork grows from there.
